We offer the full automotive experience – sales, parts, service, and repairs – and we’re looking for a Workshop Controller to join our Burton team.

About the Role
As Workshop Controller, you’ll be the guiding force of our busy workshop. You’ll oversee daily operations, schedule jobs, ensure quality control, and provide support and guidance to our technicians and apprentices. This is a perfect opportunity for a qualified technician ready to step off the tools and develop leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily workshop operations and workflow
  • Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion
  • Schedule work based on customer needs and workshop capacity
  • Conduct quality inspections before vehicle collection
  • Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Mentor apprentices and support technicians

     

     

About You:
  • Qualified technician with experience in workshop operations (preferred)
  • Strong heavy diesel mechanical knowledge
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement
