About the role

The Northeast Auto Group's Engineering Department is looking to welcome an experienced Trade Assistant across their day and afternoon shift teams. We are looking for someone who has a passion for automotive, mechanically minded and excited to learn and develop their skills within the production workshop. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the fitment, installation and assembly of parts and components as directed
  • Loading and Unloading materials and tools
  • Preparing workspaces and tools
  • Measuring and cutting materials per the design specs
  • General housekeeping
  • Assisting the qualified Trades Person

 

About You 

  • Strong interested and passion for developing your skills in the automotive industry
  • Attention to detail
  • A sense of pride and ownership in your work
  • Experience with Hand and Power Tools 
  • Previous welding experience, or experience within a similar role/industry is highly regarded
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Valid Australian Drivers License
