Service Advisor - Manufacturing & Repairs
This is a key role supporting the coordination of manufacturing and repair work from start to finish. You’ll work closely with customers, technicians, engineers and internal teams to ensure jobs are managed efficiently, communicated clearly and completed to a high standard.
About the Role
As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for coordinating repair and manufacturing jobs, keeping customers informed and ensuring work progresses smoothly through the workshop and engineering team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating manufacturing, repairs and service jobs from initial enquiry through to completion
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers throughout the repair process
- Preparing and following up quotes, job orders and work requirements
- Liaising with technicians, engineers and workshop staff to coordinate jobs
- Scheduling and prioritising work to meet customer and business requirements
- Providing customers with regular updates on job progress
- Identifying and communicating any changes to job requirements, costs or timeframes
- Ensuring job documentation, records and systems are kept accurate and up to date
- Assisting with parts, materials and external suppliers where required
- Supporting the Engineering Department with general administration and coordination
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident communicating with both customers and technical teams.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a service advisor, service coordinator, workshop administration or similar role
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, automotive or mechanical environment is highly regarded
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management
- The ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Confidence working with systems, job management software and Microsoft Office
- A practical mindset and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively with technicians, engineers and customers
