Sales Executive
At Northeast Engineering in Burton SA, we're looking for a Sales Executive to sell innovative solutions and build strong customer relationships. If you’re driven and results-focused, this is your chance to grow your career.
About the Role
This is not your typical vehicle sales role. In this position, customers approach our Engineering division requiring custom solutions. This may include quoting on completely new truck builds with specialised add-on's or preparing quotes to modify existing trucks with items such as toolboxes, trays, hydraulic systems, and other engineered components.
You will manage the process end to end. From understanding the customer’s requirements, preparing detailed quotes, raising invoices, and generating workorders, through to handing the project to the Engineering team for build and fit out.
Key responsibilities include:
- Meeting with customers to understand their operational requirements and technical specifications
- Preparing accurate and detailed quotes for new builds and vehicle modifications
- Creating invoices and generating work orders for the Engineering team
- Liaising closely with production and workshop teams to ensure scope accuracy
- Managing customer relationships from enquiry through to delivery
- Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
- Achieving agreed sales targets and KPIs
About You
This opportunity will suit a commercially minded and technically capable sales professional who enjoys consultative selling and working closely with workshop and engineering teams.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Provensales experience, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, heavy vehicles or technical products
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate quotes and documentation
- Confidence interpreting customer requirements and translating them into practical solutions
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Engineering or trade background highly regarded
- Current and valid driver’s licence required (HR licence highly regarded)
