Production manager

Reporting to the Group Strategy Mangaer, Engineering the Production Manager will take responsibility for strategic planning, resource allocation, and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve business goals and objectives. You will manage daily operations, ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective fitment of accessories and the building and manufacturing of truck bodies. This role involves hands-on leadership, optimising production workflows, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure monthly production targets are met, adhering to quality standards and customer commitment timelines.
- Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation for optimal output.
- Maintain an active pipeline of cost reduction initiatives, without sacrifice to the consistency of company quality standards
- Monitor and adjust workflows to minimize delays and maximise efficiency.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet specifications and proactively identify opportunities for improvement to process efficiency
- Ensuring all production activities meet legislative and regulatory requirements associated with WHS and environment
- Maintain oversight of quality control and assurance practices for manufacturing processes and lead the team in root cause analysis for corrective action
- Support and lead own team to achieve overall strategy and business goals.
- Facilitates regular meetings to align inventory levels, production schedules, and any potential supply chain issues to enable operations adherence to production targets
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to management
