Are you experienced in sourcing and buying commercial vehicles? Northeast Auto Group, a family-owned leader in truck sales and fleet solutions, is looking for a skilled Second Hand Truck Buyer to join our Burton, SA team. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, autonomy, and career growth.

About the role:
You’ll be responsible for sourcing, inspecting, and purchasing quality second-hand trucks across Australia. You’ll work closely with our fleet team, auctions, dealers, and private sellers to secure the best deals while maintaining high standards of quality and value. This role offers autonomy, variety, and the chance to make a real impact in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Source, inspect, and purchase second-hand trucks nationwide
  • Negotiate competitive deals with sellers, dealers, and at auctions
  • Assess vehicle quality, value, and suitability for resale
  • Build and maintain strong industry relationships
  • Support fleet turnover and provide timely reporting to the team

  • Proven experience buying commercial vehicles or heavy trucks
  • Strong negotiation and commercial acumen
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work independently
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Passion for the industry and attention to detail
