Northeast Engineering is a transport engineering company specialising in vehicle motor body building. Established in 1999, we have a reputation for building high quality customised truck bodies for clients across Australia. Our Burton facility employs over 50 experienced tradespersons and we are on the hunt for a salesperson to join our dynamic team.

 

About the Role

As the in-bound salesperson, you will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients and offering tailored solutions that meet our customers unique needs for their heavy vehicles. As a leader in engineered solutions that include everything from truck mount bodies to trailers, tippers and tautliners you will be the key client contact for northeast engineering.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to growth, proactively managing client relationships
  • Respond to Inquiries: Promptly handle incoming sales inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
  • Qualify Leads: Assess and qualify leads, assisting clients in their specification requirements, ensuring timely turnaround of quotes
  • Maintain CRM Systems: Accurately document client interactions and sales activities in the company's CRM system
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with drafting and manufacturing and ensure seamless customer interactions
  • Provide Product Knowledge: Stay updated on product offerings and provide detailed information
  • Follow Up: Conduct follow-up communications with customers who have shown interest but have not yet made a purchase

 

About You

We are looking for an experienced Salesperson loves trucks and has,

  • An ability to uncover client needs and provide customised solutions that are fit for purpose
  • Proven sales experience, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive industry
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer focused mindset
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Heavy Vehicles, Trucks or related equipment (desirable)
  • High Performing mindset, with excellent time management and organisational skills
