About the Role

As a Hire Controller, you’ll be the heartbeat of our hire operations—building strong customer relationships, managing bookings, and ensuring equipment is delivered on time and ready for action. You’ll maximise every sales opportunity through your day-to-day customer interactions and keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end hire process, including bookings, scheduling, dispatch and returns.
  • Provide customers with equipment availability and tailored hire solutions
  • Coordinate transport, delivery and collection of machinery and vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records of all equipment — in branch, on hire, or in service/repair.
  • Monitor and manage hire agreements, contracts, and related documentation.

About You

You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being a pivotal point of contact. You bring:
  • Previous experience in truck or machinery hire (highly desirable).
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — confident, clear and customer-focused.
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in documentation
  • Experience with hire management systems or the ability to learn quickly.
  • A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving ability.
