Heavy Vehicle Technician
Northeast Auto Group Shepparton is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of trucks and commercial vehicles. Your expertise will help ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard, keeping our customers on the road.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Plan jobs and order required parts
- Work to job card requirements and timelines
- Identify and report any additional repair needs
- Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain a strong focus on safety in every task
What You’ll Bring:
- Trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential)
- Strong diagnostic skills (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic (essential)
- Current driver’s licence (essential)
- Retail workshop experience (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organisation, and prioritisation abilities

Role responsibilities
- Reassemble vehicles in accordance with documented procedures and processes – pre accident damage condition
- The day-to-day duties of this role include disassembling damaged body panels and reassembling once repaired.
- Test and evaluate reassembly components for safety and operability
- Parts check list and allocate to correct vehicles repaired
- Using hand tools and battery power to remove damaged parts and replace Ensuring the vehicle disassemble and reassembled in accordance with documented processes and procedures
