Northeast Engineering is a transport engineering company specialising in vehicle motor body building. Established in 1999, we have a reputation for building high quality customised truck bodies for clients across Australia. Our Burton facility employs over 50 experienced tradespersons, and we are on the hunt for a salesperson to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

 As  Fitment Supervisor in Northeast Engineering your primary responsibilities are to oversee the fitment section of the truck body assembly, ensure that all accessories are correctly fitted on time and to the budget. This role involves hands on management of the fitment technicians, optimising workflows and maintaining departmental standards.  

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure the correct fitment of accessories to truck bodies
  • Overseeing the daily operations, scheduling and resource allocation in the fitment section
  • Monitoring delays and maximising efficiency.
  • Implementing quality controls and meeting assigned targets and performance metrics
  • Engaging in hands-on planning, collaboration and coordination cross departmentally within the engineering sector. 

 

About you 

 A successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Certificate II in Automotive Accessory Fitting (essential)
  • Truck license or willing to obtain (essential)
  • Strong understanding of Air Trailer brake systems with an automotive background
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Forklift License (desirable)
