Diesel Mechanic - HV, Machinery and Equipment
We're on the hunt for a hands-on Heavy Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys diagnosing faults, and can keep our fleet operating safely and reliably. You'll primarily be working on our heavy vehicle fleet, with the opportunity to work on earthmoving machinery and heavy plant as required. What You'll Do
- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain our heavy vehicle fleet
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to minimise downtime
- Assist with servicing and repairs on earthmoving machinery and heavy plant when required
- Plan jobs and identify the parts and components needed to complete repairs efficiently
- Complete service records, job cards, and workshop documentation accurately
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop while working to company safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Proven experience working on heavy vehicles
- Experience with earthmoving machinery or heavy plant is highly regarded
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A safety-first attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
- Current driver's licence (HR Licence advantageous)
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
