Detailer/Yard hand
The Detailer/Yard Hand at Northeast Truck Centre, Sunshine Coast, is important in ensuring our trucks and dealership equipment are kept clean, well-presented, and ready for customers. This is a hands-on, physical role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail, and enjoys working around heavy vehicles in a busy truck dealership environment.
About the role
- Cleaning and detailing new and used trucks, including interiors and exteriors
- Washing, polishing and preparing trucks for customer deliveries and display
- Ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard at all times
- Conducting basic vehicle inspections and reporting any damage or issues
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the yard, wash bay and vehicle display areas
- Assisting the sales and workshop teams with general yard duties as required
- Moving vehicles around the dealership when required
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
About you
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing, preferably with trucks or heavy vehicles
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks
- Strong attention to detail and pride in vehicle presentation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, motivated and willing to be part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures
- Current driver's licence required
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in trucks or the automotive industry
- HR Licence - desirable
