Assistant Service Manager

About the Role
As the Assistant Service Manager, you’ll support the Service Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our light vehicle workshop. You’ll help lead a team of skilled technicians and service advisors, ensuring high standards of customer service, productivity, and safety. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow in a leadership role within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop
- Coordinate service bookings, workshop scheduling, and job allocations
- Ensure timely completion of services and repairs while maintaining quality standards
- Support and guide service staff to achieve performance targets
- Provide exceptional customer service, handling escalations and enquiries
- Maintain accurate job costing, invoicing, and warranty claim processing
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
About You
- Previous experience in a service advisory or workshop leadership role (light vehicles preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Solid understanding of vehicle servicing and repair processes
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting
- High attention to detail, with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in using dealership management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office
